Cricket Formats Explained
To make the right calls in cricket betting, it helps to know the differences between each format. Below is a brief introduction to the three most popular formats in Bangladesh and one newer format.
Twenty20
Each team plays 20 overs. Usually finishes in 3–4 hours. The fast pace makes it the most popular format for in-play betting. BPL, IPL and the T20 World Cup are played in this format.
One-Day International
Each team plays 50 overs. A full-day match — roughly 7–8 hours. Markets include match winner, top batter, most wickets and more.
Test Cricket
Two innings each, up to 5 days. The best format for strategic betting. Analysis of draw markets, innings scores and pitch conditions is important.
The Hundred
Each team faces just 100 balls. This new English format is fast-paced — finishing in about 2–3 hours. Its global popularity is growing.
Popular Leagues: BPL (Bangladesh Premier League), IPL (Indian Premier League), BBL (Big Bash League — Australia), PSL (Pakistan Super League) — these leagues attract particular interest from Bangladeshi bettors.

Roulette
Bet on where the ball lands on the spinning wheel — a number, a colour, or odd/even. Both European and American variants are available. Simple rules, big excitement.
Blackjack
Beat the dealer — get as close to 21 as possible without going over. Strategy and decision-making skills pay off directly in this game. Multiple tables available at various limits.
Live Andar Bahar
In this traditional card game from the Indian subcontinent, the dealer places one card face up and you bet on whether a card of the same rank will appear on the Andar or Bahar side. Fast rounds, simple rules.
Game Show Wheel
Live wheel spin games in a game show format, like Crazy Time and Dream Catcher. These host-led games are as fun to watch as they are exciting to win.
Sic Bo Live
Bet on the outcome of three dice — small/big totals, specific numbers, or triples. This ancient Chinese dice game is now available at 9p999 with a live dealer.
Types of Slot Games
Slots are not just about spinning reels — each type has its own features, gameplay and reward structure. You'll find every type of slot at 9p999.
Classic Slots
Old-school 3-reel slots — simple rules, fast gameplay. The best place to start for newcomers. Check out NetEnt's classic lineup.
Video Slots
Modern 5-reel slots — impressive graphics, animations and bonus rounds. Pragmatic Play's Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza are well-known examples of this category.
Jackpot Slots
A portion of every bet goes into the jackpot pool, giving you the chance to win a massive prize. Microgaming's progressive jackpot series is well known.
Megaways Slots
The reel height changes with every spin — combining thousands of different paylines. This engine, invented by Big Time Gaming, is used by many providers.
Cascading Reels
Winning symbols disappear and new ones fall from above — making multiple wins from a single spin possible. PG Soft's Mahjong Ways and Pragmatic's Sweet Bonanza use this mechanic.
Cluster Pays
A win is triggered when a set number of matching symbols cluster together — no paylines involved. Pragmatic Play's Sugar Rush is a great example of this mechanic.

Fishing & Arcade Games
Fish shooting games are hugely popular in Bangladesh right now. At 9p999 you'll find JILI's Mega Fishing, All-Star Fishing, Dragon Fortune and Bombing Fishing. Here's how these games work.
Cannon & Fish Multipliers
Each shot costs one coin — increasing the cannon's power raises the cost per shot but also increases your chances of hitting bigger fish. Small fish give smaller rewards; hitting a boss fish or special target gives larger multipliers.
Popular Arcade Game Types
Budget Management Tips: Start with a lower cannon power and focus on larger fish. Set a fixed budget and do not exceed it. Keep track of your spending each round.
Local Card Games
Traditional card games from the Indian subcontinent are now available to play online. These games are available at 9p999 through JILI.
Teen Patti
Live DealerPlayed with three cards — the strongest hand wins. Bet blind or seen. Tip: if you don't have a strong hand, fold rather than continue.
Andar Bahar
Live DealerThe dealer places one card in the middle and you bet on whether a matching card will appear on the Andar side or the Bahar side. Tip: in this 50-50 game, budget management is the most important factor.
Callbreak
Other PlayersA trick-taking card game for 4 players — you must declare how many tricks you will win before each hand. Play fast rounds with JILI's Callbreak Quick version. Tip: keep your spades strong.
Ludo / Rummy
Other PlayersLudo Quick brings the familiar board game in a new form, while Pool Rummy has you matching cards to form sequences. Both games are played against other players. Tip: learn the rules thoroughly before playing.

How to Read Odds
Understanding odds is the most important thing before you start betting. Odds tell you two things — how much you stand to receive and how likely that outcome is.
Decimal Odds (the simplest)
Say the odds on Bangladesh winning a Bangladesh vs India match are 1.80. If you bet ৳500: ৳500 × 1.80 = ৳900 total return (৳400 profit).
Formula for understanding probability: 1 ÷ Odds = Implied Probability. So 1 ÷ 1.80 ≈ 55.6% — meaning the bookmaker assumes Bangladesh has roughly a 56% chance of winning.
Three types of odds formats
| Format | Example | How to read it |
|---|---|---|
| Decimal | 1.80 | ৳100 bet returns ৳180 (৳80 profit) |
| Fractional | 4/5 | ৳5 stake earns ৳4 profit — total ৳9 |
| American | -125 | You need to bet ৳125 to win ৳100 profit |
9p999 uses the decimal format — the most familiar and straightforward for Bangladeshi users.
